WRV SKATE CAMP is the complete skateboard training experience for any skill level to build on existing skate knowledge and reach full skating potential! All shredders welcome, ages 6+up.
ON CAMP DAY campers will warm up and stretch, learn the use of safety equipment, learn street safety, receive skating analysis and tips, learn tricks, receive progress reports, and learn group showmanship as they engage in a photo documented contest experience.
CAMP PACKAGE includes a 8.5" x 11" Professional Group Photo, an end-of-week catered party, and a prize bag with a WRV discount card, camp t-shirt, stickers, sunglasses, and poster. Campers are encouraged to bring their own safety gear, skateboard & water bottle. If gear is needed, contact WRV during regular business hours to make arrangements (757)422-0423.
CAMP DIRECTOR Eddie Hayes has been skating for 30+ years and has competed in regional competitions. He is a certified instructor with an engaging and entertaining teaching style for a dynamic and comprehensive learning experience for all levels!
LOCATIONS • Virginia Beach camps are held at the mini ramps across the street from WRV: 1900 Cypress Ave • Kitty Hawk camps are held at Kitty Hawk Skatepark: 908 W Kitty Hawk Rd
What to bring:
Skateboard, Helmet, Snacks & Water. Knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards are highly recommended.
Need a skateboard, helmet and/or pads? We have a limited supply of skateboards, helmets, elbow, knee pads and wrist guards. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to check availability.
What if it rains? If there is a strong chance of rain, attendees will be notified the night before. If rain is uncertain, a final decision will be made the morning of camp based on radar. Skate activities will be adjusted to rainy weather, such as watching videos, playing skate games and learning how to squeegee ramps.
